Orange and Yellow (1992)
This was something I wrote to a friend while I was living in Hoboken in 1992.
Orange and Yellow (1992)
I'm looking at a print hung in my living room
Mark Rothko, Orange and Yellow (1956)
and you, living just down the road from Orange Lake
I picture you swimming at sunset
drenched in warm sunlight
the lake ablaze, Orange and Yellow.

To swim in such a fire would be wonderful!
.. the colors of passion!
This is great Phil. I love the flow of your words and the vivid images they create.

P.S.
I see that you have met some of my poetry friends. This is a good thing. Can't wait for more from you.

Thanks for your comments and support! I'd love to dive into Orange Lake right now. At the moment though NY feels cold and damp.
and sad with fresh memories of 9/11.
