The digital age has liberated photographers to rise out of their darkroom caskets like many pale faced draculas. We'd be on the beach if we could just finish up what we're doing on the computer.

1918 Cleveland Motorcycle
A nice recent assignment had me photographing Penny Nickerson and her 1918 Cleveland Motorcycle. Olive, Penny's motorcycle, was chosen to be a model for a recently issued U.S. Postage Stamp. The issue features four American classic motorcycles.
I would have loved it! Makes me think of the movie Back To The Future where the car is a time machine. I can picture riding on "Olive" and being transported back to 1918. Didn't happen though as Penny keeps the tank dry. Maybe I can barter some nice prints for a ride.
This woman is my former Social Studies teacher. She was an amzing teacher, and is an amazing woman. I can listen to her talk for hours!! I have pictures of my daughter on one of her antique bikes, not this one, though you can clearly see olive in the backround.

These are so cool! Did she let you ride one?
